Words of Hope

Although this pandemic has brought about many difficulties, I found that personally I accomplished the most in the midst of it.  As a rising senior in high school, I am in the process of doing as much as I can to build my college resume and thanks to the quarantining period, I have been allowed time to start preparing for my future. I am involved in a membership organization called Jack and Jill of America, Inc. This organization prepares children and Teens through participation in activities such as leadership development, volunteer service, and philanthropic giving.

Teen leaders from the states in our region serve on the Teen leadership team which is elected by teens from the various states. When I was a freshman and new in the organization, I never imagined myself holding such a high caliber position on this board. But just 2 days ago, I was elected to serve on the Board as the Mid-Western Regional Secretary.  This was accomplished by prayer. I read a scripture saying “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3. To me, this meant that his plans will become my plans and if something isn’t working, it isn’t God.
