Stepping out on faith.
Ever since I was in elementary and middle school I attended a school 30 minutes away from my hometown. At that point in my life that school provided the things I needed to be successful. But during my freshman year of high school I decided it was time to come back and attend school in my hometown. I was left with a tough decision - do I stay with my friends who I’ve been with for over 7 years or do I leave and go to a school where I can play sports, music, and other activities like I had always imagined that a high school would offer, but where there was a lack of diversity and a lack of people who looked like me.
Making this decision was difficult, but I came to the conclusion to leave the school and attend the school that was closer to home. As hard as that decision was, I do not regret stepping out on faith. I learned that sacrifice is a part of life and in order for me to experience growth, I had to give up some things in the process. I put my faith in action and am so grateful that I did!
